Take it for what it is. 2 birds getting into the ring for a fight. Every other element is there imo just the likelihood of a ko is far lower.
I'm comfortable with female boxing now.

What role did he have last night ? He seems like a very nice fella, a passionate fight fan who’s been through a lot and taken horrendous stick on here, really horrible stuff sometimes but as bad as DAZN’s commentators are, and they are horrendous, they are still better than him. He was literally the worse commentator in sports. The fact that he was very ill and thankfully made a good recovery shouldn’t change that.

In my opinion Adam Smith is miles ahead of Mike Costello and if Adam Smith was attached to DAZN UK as a main commentator in the future it would give the platform a huge boost.

 

Not sure I can agree on your latter point. He would make existing broadcasts more listenable but take him away from Sky and what boost would he give? At best he might stop people leaving DAZN?

 

Absolutely, it’s good to disagree. As bad as Smith is’ there’s only a cigarette paper between him and Costello. Was he on DAZN last night ? What was he doing ? I only watch the fights. The average contributor on here knows more than virtually every pundit in the UK, particularly regarding world boxing. The pro Taylor nature of the commentary last night was grim. Darren Barker and Lee would cheer Eddie Hearn if he was taking a cr*p.

 

Adam Smith is a true boxing man who knows the game inside out. He will be able to bring much more than just commentary to DAZN UK.

I don't see what everyone was getting hyped about.

MMA birds I rate, as they fight the same match lengths as the men.

This was a lot of pitter patter, holding, smothered inside work and then the round was over because 2 minutes is too short.

Taylor looked like she was about to die after the 7th round (14 minutes of work lol). Then even though they're fighting 2 minute rounds, they cap it at 10 rounds lol.

I'm surprised no reporters called out Eddie and co for the fighter of the year etc claims.

 

Count the knockdown and you didn't have Taylor winning !

Someone standing on your front foot doesn't make you fall backwards, that was scandalous .

 

Plenty of people moaning about Taylor holding but there was one round when Cameron rammed her shoulder into Taylor's face about 5 times.

Taylor was only excessively holding in round 10. Cameron was holding Taylor down and punching all the through the fight because she couldn't match Taylor's speed. After how Cameron disrespected Taylor in the build-up, I hope Taylor fights Serrano next and doesn't give Cameron the opportunity for a big money fight. Cameron seems to think she's a huge star so let's see how much money she earns and how many tickets she sells in her next fight, that is if she even headlines on her own.
