I suppose because women's boxing simply did not exist when I got into boxing, I will always consider it a sideshow.
Nobody gave it the time of day before. Now, almost all of a sudden (last couple of years) , it's being followed like it is part of the sport.

 

Would rather watch Katie Taylor, Chantelle Cameron and Savannah Marshall than many of the men who bring nothing to the ring.

He would have done when he was active, but he’s been retired for a fair bit now.

 

Don't do it to yourself mate. This is exactly how Hearn reels people in. Algieri is long long past his best and prime for Benn to chin. He's 37 and couldn't knock my nana's ornaments off her fireplace.

He is a brilliant talker mate. Can see how natural and confident he is with selling himself. He knows exactly how to set up the smoke and mirrors but I still think we'll be waiting a long time before he jumps in with someone who has genuine power.

 

Ach you're right. It's just frustrating because Algieri is ten times the boxer Benn is and came up in relative obscurity, earned his stripes the hard way then gets used to fatten up this entitled tit's CV
