    He looks trim and fit after watching behind the ropes mini doco the other day. People forget he lives and trains in high altitute (Big Bear, USA). This guy will still be mixing it up late into the fight...

    He just needs to survive Joshua's attack until he gasses and those arms get heavier.

    Great Effort, oh well, you can't win 'em all, but you came damn close.

    Awesome job Charles.:number_one::beer-toast1::clap:

    I hate that our culture has become “you’re either Michael Jordan or the worst basketball player who ever laced up a pair of shoes.”

    No one ever claimed that Martin is some elite super talent. He held a belt for a minute. Like a lot of other fighters in this and every other weight division.

    He went into the ring tonight and put on a gutty, but losing, performance. He didn’t shy away from a fight. He got behind and he kept plugging and probaby won a few rounds as the big guy faded a bit. He threw his best and took the other guy’s best and he lost.

    Where, exactly, is the shame in that? Why should he be ridiculed for it?

    Yeah he redeemed himself in the second half of the fight. But I think if he showed just a bit more in the first half that this would have been his fight. He was a class above Kownacki when he wasn't panicking and letting his hands go.

    I had him winning but yes he was a bit too inactive in the first half of the fight.

    Have you ever considered not being a passive aggressive little shitstarter all the time?:D

    It doesn't bother me in the least that he lost, oh well... it happens.

    I'm clearly a fan of his, and I was proud of the job he did, he's had the majority of the site calling him a quitjob pulling bum with no heart, well he showed a hell of a lot of it tonight, dug deep and did remarkably well in the second half almost evening it up. He deserves a lot of credit for that.

    Credit for nothing. It was supposed to be over in a few rounds in your eyes. Kownacki is a KO waiting to happen but Martin the powderpuff puncher couldn't do it. He couldn't outbox him bexause he's slow and throws about 5 punches a round.

    Did you see the match? If you haven't go watch it.

    And wait a minute, I thought you said he would mentally quit after Kownacki applied a ton of pressure and get KTFO because he's a bum? Well he didn't, Kownacki is the one that started gassing, and it was Charles that mounted a comeback and started letting his hands go and managed to win the majority of the second half of the match.

    I guess we were both kind of wrong, so its a push.:deal:
