    I'm canadian and wasn't happy with the stoppage. but it did save Martin further humilation. why even count if you're going to wave it off when he's on his feet. the ref barely reached 8. martin was sound of mind.

    but on the other hand he would have just went down again. the second shot by joshua was a C+ shot.

    If you get up at 9 or 10 count it's too risky.
    You gotta do it at 8.

    Fury beats him easily. Eddie Hearn should keep him far away from Fury.

    I agree and he was up at 8. that's why I wasnt a fan of the stoppage

    I said on here when this fight was announced that Martin was a US version of Audley Harrison, that did Audley a disservice. :hey

    scott got up at 9 and a half. Martin got up at 7.5/8

    The whole 'Brit Stoppage' thing is a construct of the blood-thirsty.

    If a fighter looks like he can't continue to compete, then it's right the ref should stop it before any unnecessary damage is done. Regardless of whether the losing fighter wants to continue.

    Tonight was different, however. I reckon Martin could have carried on, but he didn't have the *****.
