Lewis would beat him without a doubt in my mind.

Of all of them the only one where i give Liston very very little chance is Lewis.

He'd be extremely competitive ... he'd fight at 225 ... his reach was huge, his jab brutal, his chin a rock and his power unquestioned ...

Lewis had a terrible time w Bruno till Fran's usual combo of fatigue kicked in and he got caught and froze ... Bruno's jab gave Lewis real problems ... a Lewis/Liston bout is very interesting ..

Sonny beats Bowe who got hit way too much.
Sonny busts up and stops Wlad.
    Sonny/Vitali is a brutal close one ...
Holmes likely decisions Liston ... too fast

Actually, today sadly I think more people DO give a **** about "gangsta" credentials than back in 1960.
It's a bit silly these days, maybe for the last 20 years or so, a large chunk of celebrities in sports and music pretend to be gangsters or trouble-finders of some description.

And, no, I don't think many fighters back in 1960 were intimidated by Liston because he was badass outside the ring. Some were intimidated because he was simply very good inside the ring.

For example, I'd be very surprised if Floyd Patterson hadn't flattened a few tough guys and part-time gangsters in his ring career.

He'd have his work cut out against all those guys.

    Sonny beat the Bitchkos 100%.
He beat Bowe and Foreman too.
He loose to Larry,vs Lewis it would be very hard...
Everboy say that Liston was slow, but he was fster than vitali bitchko, and have good footwork
please look sonnys fights, and stop talkin ****,he win 3 rounds vs a ****ing young prime ali and loóse 3 rounds....it was a hard goos fight, and the only who is faster than ali is Patterson and Sonny knocks patterson out 2 times....

I think Style wise he would have trouble with Holmes but had a great punchers chance with the right hand

He has an even chance against Foreman, Lyle was 45-55 but would he take Big Georges shots and stay?

Lewis and Vitali should beat him but Lewis did get KO'd by Rahman and McCall and Sonny hits as hard but Vitali's chin handles Sonnys offense

Bowe gets hit too much for Sonny to get discouraged

Cleveland Williams wasn't shlt!!! Liston's reach wasn't 84" and his jab has become a bit overrated over the years. Yeah, he was also kinda slow. Again, Williams wasn't shlt!

thank u and i m sure it was even less than that .
80.5" on a 72.5" height is still more than hearns had on paper both as a length and more so in terms of proportions , and while it is really possible that liston's reach exceeded hearns' , reach stats r almost always wildly exaggerated .

williams was quite a protected fighter so it's hard 2 know , a stoppage over terrell but then a stoppage loss 2 37 yrs old bob satterfield who wasn't nearly great even during his own prime , i agree that all of his losses after he got shot literally mean nothing , but he was a well protected fighter with quite a null record pre ali , a 1 hit wonder like they call it and that hit wasn't even that big anyway .
