I've got Conteh on SD against the very talented prince. Thoughts?

I think it'd be a little wider, but yeah I'm going with John on points. I do love Charles though, very exciting.

Conteh at his peak was a level above and wins a clear UD.

Prince Charles was a very good fighter, but not on par with the 70s/early 80s light heavyweight greats.

Williams wasnt on the level of Conteh/Galindez/Saad/Eddie MM/Qawi/Spinks.

I think Conteh at his best and with two working hands stops Williams. The Prince was very easy to hit and was down twice, and in danger of being stopped, against Czyz first time out. He wasn't adaptable whereas Conteh was; outmuscled and bullied Hutchins, jabbed Lopez silly when his right hand gave out etc. Williams could handle himself on the inside, but Conteh was plain nasty and a proper all-rounder.

Conteh at his best stops Williams late on, I think.

I could see a stoppage. I was just trying to give Williams the benefit of the doubt.

Williams would have a hard enough time beating a guy like Jerry Martin.

Williams definitely isn't on a level with the guys who were around the decade before. He already lost via shut out to an aging Marvin Johnson, who, whilst my favourite of the bunch, isn't one of the best of them.

Franklin, Mustafa, GalĂndez, Lopez, Conteh, Qawi, Spinks ect. would all beat Williams. Just different levels.

Williams vs Harding is a better question.

    Ahh prince Charles!

He's quite well known around my hometown (his hometown actually lol)
He comes in with his family to eat at the local restaurant and comes off as a very friendly and humble guy

I remember eating there with an older gentleman friend of mine(who unfortunately dksab lol) at the same time as his family and him were

    I recall telling my friend,
" that's Charles Williams the boxer!"
He then preceded to walk over to Williams table and rhetorically ask if "he was the famous boxer prince Charles williams?"
The prince warmly smiled and replied yes(I'm sure he was used to it)
To which my friend replied that he too did some "boxing"( down in Florida no less)
"Yep....I "Boxed" oranges for Tropicana for around 10 years to be exact!"

Now my friend is well known for his corny jokes, most of which are eye roll inducing....but my self, anybody within earshot and prince Charles himself burst out laughing

I'm glad he had a sense of humor about the whole thing lol...anyway I can't pick sides, but I just wanted to relay my experience with a great champion
