    Anyone know if he is still alive and if so how to reach him? He wrote "Charley Burley: The Life and Hard Times of an Uncrowned Champion.

    Alan Rosenfeld. He passed away a few years back.

    That's one of the best boxing books ever.

    Yes Allan is gone sadly. He was a very knowledgeable guy who was ringside for some of the great fights of the 40s, 50s, and 60s in Chicago and Detroit. A lot of great stories died with him.

    Thanks Klomp. Got your book last week, thank you. Worth every bit of praise. Still reading it, but clearly the definitive work on Greb.I particularly enjoyed the use of enhanced photos to illustrate his style and tactics.
