Sure everyone has seen the tweets and stuff but been told fairly reliably that it'll be announced Charlie has a world title fight in September by Eddie on Monday.

No idea of opponent. I have never heard him talk about going up and can't see him getting a shot at super fly.

My prediction would be flyweight against Johnriel Casimero as he is ranked by the IBF, I believe.

Casimero had been rumoured to face Satchell...so Edwards getting in there may make sense with it being Fast Car...would be a hiding to nothing for Charlie

You're still firmly in Team Patel I take it then?

I can't see that fight being competitive if he and Edwards ever do face off in the pros. Patel was awful in his last fight and by all reports got a total gift of a draw.

Well that'd be some turnaround on current form. You got any idea who Patel will be fighting next? He's got some ground to make up if wants people to call for an Edwards fight.

You got any idea at what level of opponent he's aiming for?

Well coming off a draw againts a Journeyman it ain't got to be Roman Gonzales.

He knows he is well behind Edwards and Selby right now, it's more realistic to look at boxing the likes of Jamie Williams,Kyle Youseff, or Waleed Din in 2017.

Right. Well it's good to know he's realised where's he actually at now rather than proclaiming himself the second coming.

He's got no interest in a rematch then to try and settle that score?

    With Juan Hinostroza?

That should happen by the end of the year, Juan broke his hand in that fight,.so has been out since.

All that talk on camera wa sjust for publicity, he is a realist behind closed doors believe me.

I believe he has much more natural talent than Edwards, however Edwards has grafted and overtook him by a country mile. He needs to stop doing interviews train hos bolloxs off get 5-6 decent wins and then see where he is at.

Whether he does that is up too him, I was one of a number of people who said do not take the Juan fight for a number of reasons mate.

Yeah with Juan. It'd be good to see if he can prove that genuinely was an off night and he's good enough to mix it with the top guys domestically.
