There’s not a chance he has a rematch. He was getting punished.

I still cannot have that the decision can be made like that. Seems absolutely cowboy.

Cannot argue that it was an illegal shot, but you cannot just jump in the ring and change it.

Charlie Edward's is a million to take the rematch, surely vacated and goes up.

Everything Edwards does is fake and for the cameras. Putting on this 'man of the people, look how humble I am' persona all the time, then overdoing the clapping his opponent and the crowd.

He's a total egomaniac who needs constant praise. An utter Bellew-lite.

The whole wheeling his mum out of the arena FFS.

He’s meant to be an arrogant little c*nt. I was speaking to someone out of his gym and he’s not well liked by sounds of things.

Just heard Hearns saying "it's a pity about the late shot cause it was shaping up to be a great fight "

Charlie Edwards really got lucky, with that blow when he was down.

Had Martinez not done that, no doubt in my mind that had Edwards got up he would have been beaten up and stopped either in that round or a round later.

Martinez has fast hands and far too much power for Edwards to deal with.

The first thing that the sky commentators said was that he should move up in weight and avoid the rematch. I agree that is the best thing for Edwards. He doesnt stand a chance in a rematch.

You didn't need an independent review. It was plain to see. As much as I thought Edwards wouldn't of lasted much longer anyway, the Mexican should of been DQd.
The NC did him a favour, at least he'll get the rematch.
The ref should of done a better job

Totally agree with this. Whether it was done on the night or in a few weeks, Sulaiman would be making the final decision either way. It was an illegal shot and Martinez should have been disqualified. However, he comes out of it with a lot of kudos & he will get another title shot, probably for a vacant title cos Edwards is gonna move up right away.

Martinez looks a real talent. Disposing of Andrew Selby and smashing up Edwards in 2 rounds is high calibre stuff. He'll be a world champion very soon, no doubt about it. He has serious power.

The no contest decision was the right one but make no mistake Edwards won't go near him again.

I think putting Martinez in with Sunny Edwards would be interesting if Charlie moves up. I actually rate Sunny as the better of the two brothers and the build up would be funny

Hopefully he listens to the public and gets the rematch but his arse went last night when he took the knee and he wanted out .

Definitely an illegal punch - BUT I have seen much much worse and the ref's decision should stand. Makes a mockery of the way the sport runs otherwise. In Froch v Groves 1 would we have had an immediate review and the fight resumed or ruled a no contest???

Not a shock with the wbc but I dont get the bbbofc agreeing with the result change at all. If there is going to be video replays in boxing it needs to be clear and applied across the board!!!

Sunny is by far the more talented and likeable of the two, Charlie is just one big cringe-athon. Interesting how Sunny isn't wheeling his mum around every 5 minutes like some X Factor circus but Charlie just doesn't stop with it. It's awful what those lads are dealing with and I've been there myself but Charlie doesn't stop.

I remember an Instagram post from Charlie Edwards staring at the home he grew up in saying about how far he's come, basically a bulls**t attempt at saying he came from a humble home. Council flat? Tiny little 2 up 2 down? No, this house was decent, had a load of land and a f**king full size boxing ring in the back garden!
