Add this to the Oscar Valdez pullout and there was another 2, at least.

Let’s hope he shares Getty images X-rays like Wilder and Lions Den did…

Yep pretty suspicious breaking your hand 4 weeks out by this stage of camp all boxing work should be done in 16 oz gloves that is standard procedure.

Tszyu should definitely fight someone while he waits. He needs the experience and the stay busy fight.

All that stick Charlo gave Castaño over his injury.
Making wild and slanderous accusations about Brian using drugs.

Tszyu being a gentleman about it. Should have gave the studio gangsta a taste of his own sizzurp.

So who do we reckon Timmy ought to be fighting with Charlo having succumbed to a bout of chicken pox?

Tim is apparently staying over there & will fight the best opponent they can find for him in February.

Tony Harrison appears to have been lined up for Sebastian Fundora. Liam Smith is committed to a fight in the UK with Chris Eubank. I'd say there would be enough money in both of those fights that neither guy would want to pull out to face Tszyu.

Looking at the WBO rankings, the 'best possible' opponents appear to be Bakhram Murtazaliev, who also happens to be the IBF mandatory, Charles Conwell & Xander Zayas. Conwell suffered a bad cut recently so presumably wouldn't have time to prepare properly while Zayas probably isn't ready. That leaves Murtazaliev who I think is a big, strong 6-foot guy same height as Charlo. He has the same record as Tim, 21-0 (15 kayos), with the added bonus that he's fought recently. I think he's our man if they can get him.

The WBO should sanction it for an interim world title.

Either way, this really sucks, going from a shot at 4 belts to what I feel are 'no win' fights for Tim, it wouldn't matter how good he looked against any of those names, he won't get huge credit. Harrison is still a decent risk, a huge banana skin, maybe one of the other 3, stink the joint out on purpose but get a win and then eventually get Charlo? If he looks too good, Charlo will probably quack permanently.

I think we need to take a positive out of it in that it will give Tim additional experience fighting in the US. Tony Harrison would be their first choice of opponent & maybe they can get him if he hasn't already signed on the dotted line to face Fundora. He's a PBC fighter after all. If not him, then I reckon Murtazaliev would be an acceptable substitute. American TV probably doesn't want to feature Tszyu against non-Americans though. I hope it's someone of that caliber because this presents an opportunity for Tim to up his game rather than mark time.

Yep, he needs to up, otherwise he could be waiting til he's 80 for Charlo.
