Charlo: Brook is easy for me to beat

Step ups ? Moved up 2 divisions against a very dominant champ, he can have that loss and it doesn’t discredit him. Now the spence fight was too soon after coming down from 160 plus the eye would’ve been playing on his mind. Call me biased, but that wasn’t a 100% Brook in there with Spence, and he still was level pegging with him on the cards

 

Spence had to travel to Sheffield in a different climate, time zone and in front of a hostile crowd full of Kell’s childhood friends and family and he is also massively drained like Kell in order to make 147.

If you are going to make a case for Kell not being 100% in that fight you have to be fair and say the same for Spence. All I remember after the weigh in here was a plethora of threads about how ill and sickly Spence looked.

 

The evidence is he guy has skills. As I have said before I am not saying he will go to 154lbs and beat them all but I have no doubt Brook is competitive vs anyone at 154lbs

 

I agree with this statement. Might have been OTT for me to say we don’t know if he can “hang” with Charlo, but I don’t believe he will be able to deal with the power and size disadvantage.

 

Jermell should be looking at the winner or Lara and Hurd. People **** on Hurd, but he seems like the only guy as 154 who will fight anyone.

Spence never had a broken eye socket at a higher weight in his fight previous though. Brook also would’ve put muscle on for his trip to 160, however little it was. Spence comes across as a top man, i’m Not taking anything away from him, but he doesn’t stop pre GGG Brook. I actually have pre GGG Brook outpointing Spence in a tight fight

I agree, dumb move, totally unwinnable fight. He did have surgery on his eye socket though, and told he could’ve lost his sight. So for the other side to go in the fight with Spence would’ve totally blown his mindset off course. I think to carry on in a fight with that kind of injury is totally stupid, and I find it hard to see the warrior in such an act, it’s not like a bad cut or broken hand where you can blag it a bit and scrape through, even dislocated shoulder, It’s the fact that you could never see again with every punch landing with Brooks injury. Any boxer that spoke **** like Bellew did and Eubank Jnr about it should be ashamed, they know the risks more than any of is

 

Brits like to hype up their guys in football and now in boxing also.This is suicide for Kell Brook , Charlo will be very big dude even at 160 and only Ramirez and Callum Smith will be bigger than him at 168.Might not be most skilled or experienced fighter but can punch and is tall and rangy and will outweight Kell by 15-20 pounds.

Brook should aim for Khan at any weight and Liam Smith vs Ali winner if he wants to win title at 154.Other than that he is done with two damaged eyes and stepped up trice and got stopped twice.Took him only 10 years to step up since he became a pro and because of greed ruined his career with the Golovkin fight.

 

Fight on and risk losing eyesight and killing your career = warrior

Stop the fight, save permanent damage and come back another day = coward.

That's some crazy thinking some people have.

Easy to turn down a fight when you don't have the pay cheque waved in your face.

It was a mixture of getting paid and frustration of seeing every big name 147 fighter not wanting to fight Kell.

He was desperate for the huge fight and it wasn't coming at 147

I do see hearn making Ali of Liam Smith a big offer once that fight is done
