Hearing that 2017 continues in the same vein of giving the fans what they want with Jermell Charlo taking on his mandatory Erickson Lubin in October. On paper this is an appetising fight, who do you like here?
Lubin looks great but it's a huge jump in level of opposition I don't understand why they rushed him to a title shot. With that being said I think he gives Charlo some trouble early on and gets ko'd by round 9
Apparently so but Charlo would be tough for anyone in the division, I'd pick him to beat Andrade, Cotto, Lara, and I'd definitely pick him to defeat a green 21 year old prospect.
I haven't seen a line on this yet but the piece I read seemed to suggest Lubin would open as a slight favourite. I know he is very highly rated but the argument that this might be too much too soon holds some weight with me, I might be tempted to back Jermell. I have barely watched Lubin though so will have to swot up on him as well as gauge what the more hardcore in-the-know posters here think about this match up first. Paging @CST80 et al.
yeah this fight is great. i love it .idk who wins. it can go either way but charlo fought better guys. so ill pick him
Because he wanted to jump at the chance to be the youngest current champion by winning. So when he became the mando instead of declining he said when and where homey.
I agree. I think Erickson beats this Charlo. I don't think he gets past Jermall though. But, he may not have to. I think he outboxes Jermell. Lubin is sharp. Kid is a hell of a talent. I believe he could take over that division. Watched most of his fights (or what I found on youtube over the time). He is a fighter I could always go back to watch. Great skills.
yea the other carlo would be tougher but to be honest he wasn't beating jrock that bad before the knockdowns. so as long as lubin got a good chin I think he might be able to take him 2 .
