I think Jermall is the better twin, but its not just the power that he has that will catapult him to the top, its his skills that he clearly has plenty of.. Comparing them to the Dirrell brothers is a slap in the face imo.
You're right, Dirrell's best win is a robbery loss against Froch, Charlo's best win is a robbery gift against Trout. Charlo isn't close to being on Dirrell's level. Its a huge insult to the Dirrell's to compare them to the Charlo's.
The Dirrells really havent accomplished much in their lengthy career. Theyre definitely on the slide and I dont think theyll ever be world champions again. The Charlos are the future of the MW division, they just need the names to give them their oppurtunity, which doesn't look likely anytime soon.
Clearly the Dirrell's are on the slide, and neither lived up to their potential, but when the Charlo's best wins are gift' against Trout and Vanes, that doesn't necessarily bode well in the long run for either of them. Let's wait until they actually face top comp, and beat them clearly before hailing them as the second coming. Centeno has no chin, that's pretty obvious, he was stopped by Sulecki, who's clearly a featherfist, albeit an immensely skilled one, but the fact is, Heiland is also kind of chinny, and he was a one legged man in an ass kicking contest, and it still took Charlo 4 rounds of target practice to get him out of there, what happens when gets in with a guy with a good chin who fights well off the backfoot, like say Canelo or Saunders, he loses to both, just like he did against Trout.
You'll prob bump into one of them next month, the guy will be friendly and let you take a photo with him and then you'll say he's a potential ATG.
but golovkin did and struggled I know he fought the wrong fight he should have boxed danny rather then go for a knockout but his better at pressing then charlo lol his a different level all together lol
Nah not me Most fighters are friendly anyway Of cause you have the buttheads like Broner Never met him though thank the Good Lord
People confuse how fighters fight people they think they can walk through, with how they would fight a fellow peer top tier fighter. Did Jacobs fight Sulecki the way he fought G? No... he was much more cautious against G, smoothly gliding off the backfoot almost the entire fight, and against Sulecki he often marched forward accepting he would get hit. Did G fight Brook the way he fought Jacobs? No... he was much more reserved, measured and careful against Jacobs. My point is fighters fight different opponents differently and often look more vulnerable in fights where they dont respect their opponents capabilities. People are too quick to point at fights like this and use them as the standard to which the fighter in question will do against a higher caliber opponent. Had Jacobs never fought Golovkin, can you imagine how many threads there would be today about how quickly G knocks Jacobs out? But in reality, they had a very close, competetive fight. Now, that all being said... I will probably be picking Charlo over Jacobs, but its not based on this fight but based on his (jacobs) overall level as a fighter, imo.
This which is why against Nelo and Jacobs, GGG was not the monster he was portrayed to be.. Fighters fight with a certain aggressiveness when they don’t respect their opponent.. GGG wasn’t gonna lett DJ get off free shots like he was doing agains Wade and Brook.. and he was worried about eating too many counters from Nelo but didn’t care as much about being countered by Monroe Jr.. I’m definitely picking Charlo in a fight against Jacobs and GGG but I’d rather all these guys fight each other than have us arguing about hypotheticals..
Mallow better be stronger than GGG. If not, he'd be sparked vs the likes of NDam. Mallow has only fought one A level boxer in Trout. And I can't think of a time I thought Trout was in trouble. Mallow imposed his strength on Trout and got a tight W. But the guys he's steamrolled have been front foot fighters. DJ would be both the strongest fighter Mallow would have fought, the fastest, and the best pure boxer. It's a fight that absolutely must happen, and I'm a Mallo fan and formerly a DJ fan. I'd be pulling for Mallow but he'd have to be watching for counters and at the same time pressing the action.
