Boxing was huge here back in the day but in modern times it sways with the breeze. When Fenech was up and running, it was popular again. There's been some good aussie fighters through history but I do agree that the once huge gap between US fighters and aussie fighters has closed massively. Look at MMA now, an aussie dude like Volkanovski, probably p4p the best in the world, that's pretty huge for Australia and I reckon in decades past a virtual impossibility.

You remember the last time you talked **** like when haney went to Australia and schooled kambosos 2x lmfao! How did that work out??? I have a feeling that the fight is not gonna happen the way the Houston Hare keeps running. For a small populated country like Australia Kambosos will already go down in history for rearranging your boy Teo's face in NY he is a warrior and went straight into 2 fights with Haney he was also humble in defeat unlike your boys Teo and Charlo when he lost to Harrison so disrespect him all you like you fat slob.

 

When tv ringside was on weekly here boxing was huge, apparently. It ran for years but Barry Michael was the only fighter to ever come out of the series and win a belt and that was at the end of his career anyway. Fighters like Hector Thompson, Paul Ferreri and Tony Mundine fought legends for their titles in the champions backyard. They were beaten but put up tremendous efforts.
Geographically it was hard for good aussie boxers to get their name on the boxing map.
Nowadays its easier, dudes like Barry Michael would have become 'house' fighters if they had fought in the US. Whatever the espn friday nights fights was back in the 60's or 70's ( maybe pabst blue ribbon?) they would have been regulars, fan favs and the odd aussie fighter would have pulled off the rare upset here and there of higher ranked fighters.
I do agree with you though, the aussies in general are far more competitive and can mix it better in world class today. The gap is not anywhere near as big.

Making excuses for Teo? You don't like Tim you don't say "beat the brakes off that boy" about someone you like. I hope the fight does happen but the Houston Hare keeps pushing the date back. I never made any excuses for teo I said I wish they could've had a rematch but teo moved up. I've said fighters I like are going to get schooled or get the brakes beat off of them or get ktfo many times before. I tell it like it is. The fight will happen my question is what your excuse will be when charlo beats him? Lol!!!!

 

My excuse won't matter I am not the one fighting. You only like to say no excuses because you are a Mayweather ass licker and him being undefeated means everything to you. This is a boxing forum where every aspect of the fight can be discussed and excuses are a part of all sports whether we like it or not. Some are just ridiculous but some are valid and worth discussing.
