Good match up between two has beens. They can both make some good money from it. Charlo probably beats Plant, who looks completely done now.
Give Resendiz the Charlo fight; let Plant build back up, starting from fighting rival meth dealers in his trailer park.
They already had that tuneup, in the doubleheader, where Plant lost his one, while Charlo stopped his non-puncher one.
One of the problems of boxing - they will make more money than they are worth by their current capabilities. We have celebrities and has beens topping the main cards. Just because of name recognition. Bivol only became a mainstream name after fighting canelo. Probably plant took more brand-value from losing to canelo than from winning all his fights before that... Let the youngsters Fight more to make a name for themselves. At this pace and the frequency of events, with young fighters fighting once/twice a year, the headliners get older and older ...
Worst part of this is that Charlo actually had the capability to be an elite fighter but his issues outside the ring, promotional issues, and lack of consistency screwed it up.. Who wouldn’t have wanted to see Jermall vs GGG, Canelo, Janibek, or even Plant….but like a few years ago…. Im not saying he wins those fights, but it would have been a much better bout for any of those guys than most of the bouts they actually had during the time…
