    Things arent that easy.

First off, GGG nor Canelo really need Charlo right now, and the winner of their Sept. 16 match will need Charlo even less.

Unless Jermall makes a name for himself with the casuals and picks up a belt I dont see why GGG or Canelo would entertain him.

I also dont think Haymon would match him against Canelo or GGG without proving he could beat them.

So far he's looked no better than Canelo did against a depleted Trout, and proved nothing in last Saturday's fight.

Im sure he will fight the loser of Canelo-GGG in about 2-3 fights and hopefully set up a mega fight with either sometime in 2019.

    Garbage

If charlo is the mandatory challenger to the winner or Canelo /3G, they should fight him. Simple as that. Who cares that he's 'Not a bigger name'. Is that how you see the sport? Only popular fighters who are well known get title shots? pathetic...

I wouldn't mind seeing him get another fight in before the mandatory with the winner ( not the loser ) of GGG vs Canelo. As a matter of fact, I would like to see him fight Jacobs. That would be a good fight and if he gets through that, (which I think he will) then I see no problem. How he looked against Trout or whether GGG or Canelo needs him or not is irrelevant to me, that's just a bunch of boxing yak in my opinion.

It might be irrelevant to you but its a reality. I dont know how detailed you follow boxing, but making Charlo vs Canelo or GGG may not be as easy as you think. There are promoter rivalries, network rivalries, and all that good jazz. The A side dictates everything. Will Haymon be willing to accept the terms given to him. Again, GGG nor Canelo need an unproven but dangerous for like Jermall, so not a lot of room for Haymon to negotiate.

What I would like to see happen is Jermall beat a credible name once, maybe twice before fighting winner of Ggg/Canelo.. The loser of Ggg/Canelo can fight Jermall to see if he belongs in the same ring with the winner.

Just so you know, I am well versed in the workings of boxing. I know what needs to happen and I know what can happen. What puzzles me is how you are making statements that suggest that Charlo is not ready for a GGG or Canelo. I find that offensive. The man was a champion before he moved to 160 and in a division that Canelo made sure to skate around the perimeters of. I don't see him having problems with anybody that Canelo beat in the past and with the exception of Jacobs, nobody that GGG has beaten. That's why I would like to see the Jacobs fight and then the winner of Canelo vs GGG. I repeat, the winner not the loser.

He looked good but it how could he not given the condition of his opponent. To be fair that was out of his control and he did what he had to do. I think hes good and will make some noise and I look forward to his next fight.

Trout never claimed that he had been robbed against Canelo. The only post-fight comment Trout made was that he had not expected Canelo to fight that way.

You could say the same watching him spar or shadow box,I like and rate both of em but just as nobody talks about Cotto beating a one legged Martinez so they won't with the other nights debacle.
Ain't a case of who's fault it was,it was just a non starter and certainly not what Charlo wanted.

So, will Charlo wait for a year after the rematch with Golovkin and El Pollo? I think Charlo should fight Jacobs before fighting the winner, no more cripples please...................

You can say the same but it won't be the same. Shadow boxing and sparring takes place in the gym and there is no pressure at all. It is a total different situation when you are on stage in front of thousands of people and trying to get a shot at a title.

Didn't you claim that Canelo got a gift from the judges against Trout?

Eh. Not really much to say. We'll see if there is anything to say about Charlo when he steps in with someone who can bring it. Charlo vs Lara perhaps or Charlo vs Jacobs. There are plenty of options. Nothing to talk about right now.
