Boxing teaches you humility and gives you focus..... I was insanely uncontrollable as I child till I found boxing. Boxing changed my life without it i'd have probably been ASBO material. I was from a good, loving family but I was massively hyperactive- I look back at some of the stuff I did as a kid and just have to laugh at how crazy I was... some funny stories though. Thats why my son will box- but only as an amateur.

Muy lad is four and he can jab and cross and he already knows how to cover up but he's still a bit too uncontrollable to do his footwork but he is really heavy handed. Left hander too- look out!

What is it with fathers encouraging their sons to box?

My mum was so relieved when I came along (after my three brothers) and she finally got to do girly stuff!
