Yup..... Neither was beasted in their lone loss. Charr has the slight size advantage. But I think Potvetkin just has too good handspeed for Manny to keep up. Judges aint gonna give Charr rds just for getting inside....he's gonna have to drop Potvetkin to win rds...... I think Sasha takes the decision. Definitely two top ten going at it....and without being forced. Fukking just WOW.:yep
Surprise match for this week. I feel Charr can't hurt Povetkin and Povetkin has the skills to decision Charr.
Charr is not a threat at all to any half decent heavyweight. He was highly criticised as an opponent for Vitali and nothing has changed other than he isn't a complete unknown now. Charr is not a top 20 heavyweight, even Arreola would walk through him. Povetkin should have no problems dispatching Charr.
Charr is a brutal body puncher. And once povetkin drops his hands, he's going to Cry Havoc! and let slip the dogs of Charr on povetkin's face. M.C. Charr by KO!
Potvetkin has NEVER shown weakness to body punching. He's a bit of a gasser, but no moreso than Charr. Also, how well does Charr get his body shots off vs the superior interior handspeed and exterior jab of Sasha?:think
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9NxV0oUF4ic Watch and learn :deal I've also heard Charr has used David Haye's Box & Tone Fitness DVD to get in shape for the fight. Diamond Boy's abs are going to be hard as diamonds for this fight, believe you this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpONEtnpkMs
Airich is an entirely different animal. He held his own with Pala hanging on to stop him in a fight he was well behind in. Airrich is Europes Jason Gavern though. He knows he gonna lose, so he aint exactly gonna go thru hell to fight for a win. POtvetkin is risking everything. He would get back up and start a war of attrition.:yep
Charr is kind of over-rated. He's good, but his fight against Johnson was quite terrible (But who can fight a decent fight against the Kingpin). Povetkin is more of a technician, where Charr is a brawler. I'm looking forward to the fight, and I'm picking Povetkin by UD. Anyone knows if and where it will be televised?
Actually, I'd rather Charr go after the winner of wilder Stiverne, and Potvetkin go after Chagaev vs Oquendo. Either way, it's better than either of them fighting a Euro level journeyman isnt it. Not that staying busy is a bad thing, but both these guys are potential titlists, and seeing one of em take a second loss aint exactly progressing both thier careers.....one's getting set back. Though it is nice to see two top guys making a fight. Much the same as Im happy to see Jennings vs another top 20....Maybe Seth Mitchell wants another go....both HBO, and both in dire need of a top 25 win.:think
