Jared Anderson should be the level for Joshua at worst - an up and coming fighter who comes to win but is very beatable. If he is too scared to take bang average live tests then simply retire.
Joe Joyce, dubois, and Zhang would all do great numbers. Hrgovic would be a good name too. Just looking for an absolute bum instead
It'll be interesting to watch the spin though, "he's a dangerous opponent Koogs, a former champion that only lost to top level fighters, and he's really up for this one, Joshua has to bring his A game". Or some other bollocks
Haha Hearn is a complete joke. Does he not realise no one swallows his bullshite anymore. Comes out with more crap than Tyson Fury and that's no mean feat
People again jumping the gun when nothing has been confirmed, like when they thought Joshua wouldn’t fight until December after beating Franklin. And where’s the source quoting this like others say to me?
I'd love to know how much you get paid for defending Matchroom Dramashow. You know better than anyone that AJs next opponent will be a bum. If it isn't Charr it will be someone just as bad if not worse
Frank Smith and Hearn haven't denied that Charr is in consideration when pressed, you can find the interviews easy. If Charr wasn't in the mix they'd say "we're not fighting Charr".
It will be even worse than any of these fights mentioned here mate. Hearn will stick him in with Kabayel, who is absolutely awful and a part time boxer. But has mysteriously managed to stay unbeaten for a moment like this: a big cash out to sell his unbeaten record for the AJ casuals. Why should he retire when he can mug off the likes of Hearn and other clueless promoters wasting other people’s money…for fighting glorified bouncers in exhibition fights?
It was until the Saudis changed their plans - there was a change of promotional leadership then… Sometimes people’s aspect to grasp concepts such as things can change is baffling. The site deal collapsed so what do you want Hearn to do about it? Joshua and Wilder won’t fight each other for anything less than the money they were originally offered.
Well when boxing fans get promised the world over and over again before constantly being given excuse after excuse as to why fights aren't happening, fans have every right to be annoyed. Maybe don't go promising things so often if you can't deliver it.
Reasons why it might not be Charr-Joshua and could be Joshua-Kabayel instead - Fan backlash from fighting such a poor opponent would hurt Matchroom financially and further damage Joshua psychologically - If Joshua had any trouble whatsoever with Charr it would further reduce his confidence and further damage his reputation, perhaps more so than having a tricky fight with Kabayel - Beating Charr for the “WBA regular” would reinforce Joshua’s reputation as a paper champ - Kabayel is 23-0, beat Chisora 6+ years ago, is a Joshua sparring partner and has been most effective on the backfoot, so he shouldn’t be too damaging and he’s easy to rob if need be However, Kabayel is a knockover job bum according to Hearn circa 2020: This content is protected
