The WBA decided (probably thanks to a bribe payment by Charr?) to elevate him from "International Champion" to "Interim WBA Champion". He will be the challenger for the winner of Browne - Briggs in 2017.

Terrible. That really undermines the WBA's supposed progress in reducing the number of titles they have.

Why couldn't they just order the winner of Browne-Briggs to fight the super champion?

    Seriously, WTF?!
If Browne vs Briggs wasn't bad enough, they come up with this sh**?!

    Damn you WBA.

    Interim champion
    Emeritus champion
    Super Champion
    Ordinary Champion
    In Recess Champion

FFS These are various different levels of champions I can think of for the same belt across different boxing organisations

They wonder why people out there are laughing at them?

They are a corrupt bunch of baboons

Seeing as we now are bringing location into the definitions.

I propose that Charlie Z is the "Momma's basement WBA champion of the world"

Its insane that a guy with Charr's terrible fight record can become mandatory for the winner of Briggs - Browne. Who both have atrocious records themselves!

    Oquendo is challenging the winner.

Charr is just there for extra sanctioning fees, like Ortiz was before him.

Charr vs Browne would be a pretty fun fight. I wouldn't mind it. Not like the result really means anything anyway.

hes not had better fights. just because hes been serially beaten up on being gifted B level opponents, doesn't make him better.
