Toney is still a decent C-level fighter, he isn't done yet (if you compare him with Roy Jones Jr or Danny Williams). An obese Toney hurt Browne several times and he is in better shape now. Why won't he pull this off? Charr drew with Zack Page and is not a better fighter than Browne. Charr is for sure a B-level fighter and maybe a C-level fighter, ain't nothing special.

I know those belts are worthless, but if he underestimates Toney, it will be lights out for him :bbb

Toney may not be the fighter he was but he is still slick defensively. Even you should have seen this in the Prizefighter.

Exactly. C-. A step down from Bakhtov and Saglam, even Airich. On par with Mazikin. So Toney will only be the second worst opponent Charr has faced (of eight) since 2011. You're stretching to call that 'decent'.

No he didn't. Please tell me exactly when.

OK, sure. Relatively. That still puts him in wretched shape. Again, don't let resembling a monster with Legg fool you. It was Legg.

...because he is long since done at this level.

At present, Toney isn't even a brown pimple on Page's black ass.

Debatable. Charr - even the unmotivated version - definitely isn't much worse than Browne.

Agreed. That is exactly what he is...putting him well above Toney's current level. C- is generous. Toney is down in the D range now.

It's one thing to underestimate a 6'4" fit & hungry Yakup Saglam and wind up paying for it. Charr could blow up fifty pounds and beat Toney one-handed at this stage.

Slick defending himself from MATT LEGG. :patsch

He didn't look quite as slick with Gavern after having put in only 2.5 rounds of work...(Gavern - who, let's face it, is no Floyd Mayweather when it comes to accuracy)

Charr is coming off 4 KO victories after the Vitali fight, cut him some slack. After he knocks out Toney he will be an a position to fight an eliminator in 2014.

Toney is pretty much done and the only real question here is if Charr stops him or not. I think Toney does go the distance but I can see Charr being the first to stop Toney.

This is obviously a way for Charr to add a big name to his record with little risk. He's done a solid job of bouncing back after the Vitali fight and this will be his 4th win of the year.

Charr's not a great fighter but he's doing a good job of keeping his name out there and probably lands another big fight sometime next year.

And he should fight Ali while he is still alive, adding the greatest to the record could make him star in Germany like fraud Ottke:oops:

Charr is the Arab-German version of Delboy Chisora. Not very skilled, but unintentionally hilarious.

The forums really bring out the unreasonableness of people. I've seen like two or three fairly accurate, well balanced comments on this topic. Generally, the comments are either overly crediting or under crediting Charr, overly or under crediting Toney, with spew of hate in between.

The fact is Charr has proven himself a top 20ish level guy, who could possibly be a borderline top 10ish guy, but at this stage we don't know enough about him. Hopefully he'll face a top 15 guy next year and we can get a better sense of him. Meanwhile, Toney is a great name, still more competitive than many people give him credit for, but has no realistic chance of winning the bout. I'd say there's a 75% chance the bout ends in UD win for Charr, 15% (t)ko for Charr (Toney's never been knocked out yet and while I think he's declined enough a ko is possible, I don't think Charr is the guy to do it), and 10% chance of anything else (draw, no contest, split or majority decision, ud or ko win for Toney).
