Thanks. I'm sure it didn't escape your attention that the feature was supposed to be about Bivol lol. And what the dickens was Dre talking about ''the elephant in the room'' ie. him bringing up/almost confronting Bivol about something he read in an article saying that he (Dre) had retired to avoid Bivol? lol. Er. Carl Froch said that in an interview to take a not so subtle little dig at Dre and it had absolutely nothing to do with anything that had come out of Bivol's mouth. In fact, Bivol even dismissed it the time as being silly. @ 5:25 This content is protected
As I figured when that 'staredown' pic went out on Twitter, Ward, in his capacity as HBO employee, is lending himself to materials to promote and build the image of a guy who the network obviously hopes will be one of their next stars. Not only is he very supportive and complimentary of Bivol here, this presentation/format is really quite different from the same old same old, with a highly accomplished veteran acting as a kind of field reporter while imparting prizefighterly insight on the array of camp footage that HBO typically presents in the pompously narrated 24/7 format. The conversation between Ward and Bivol is also more interesting than a standard interview, precisely because both are fighters. I'm sure Ward's fair and balanced critics will find a way to put a negative spin on this, though.
bivols my favorite 175 fighter.. but if he starts hanging out with ward I may have to rethink that decision :/ I can't stand andre ward .
Very rational. Though, I can't say I wasn't expecting this feature to upset some people and inspire a certain amount of cognitive dissonance.
I agree, I hope Gvoz beats him. Also I hope Bivol changes professions and becomes a lawyer instead. As a matter of fact I hope Bivol goes back to Russia where he belongs.
Great video both come across really well, ward always seems sound outside of the ring dirty ******* inside of it though.
Slippery little git would have you believe he is sound, just an act. The way he fights shows his true personality. Dirty
You never noticed Billy Joe employing a sticky left cross to tee the head up for a follow-up hook, or draping an innocuous lead arm over an opponent's shoulder to sneakily pull him onto punches in close? I have, and I admire the craft. It's a man's sport. You're right, though - Andre Ward is, and always has been, a gentleman.
