    For me, absolutely the best installment so far. Your blow by blow stuff is compelling, exciting, and the way you broke down Burley's style, right on the money. Really looking forward to Part V.

    Interesting observation, Bujia. 1943 was clearly his peak year. The wins over Booker and Marshall II were very impressive and surprised everyone. Though Burley could handle him and Moore could too (though not easily save for the first one), Chase was a major player. That win over Moore was something else and Moore really was at a loss to explain that loss. I love Muller's description of that fight.

    Stonehands, great writing once again...
    looking through Jack Chase's record, i noticed the name of Larry Anzalone' who Jack Chase kod in 1944...i saw Larry Anzalone fight often in NY in
    the 1940s, and by chance his relative was a customer of mine...small
    world indeed !
