The much maligned Chauncey Welliver is set to meet Rob Calloway on October 3rd for some vacant and interim WBO titles. 42 year old Calloway should have given boxing away some time ago. It's a pity our friend Straight Shooter appears to have hung up his keyboard - he would have been throwing rotten eggs at this .
ohh yet another classic line haha, ohh your just so funny mate:roll:.. ...u like to menshion me alot mate, got a thing for men i see.:smooch And im not going to bag welliver, all i have asked is that he steps up instead of talkig it up.Rob Calloway is a step in opposition.so good on welliver good luck for the fight:good
3 weeks without logging on, let alone posting, and you are back within a flash of your name being mentioned Shooter. I gotta say I'm impressed by the coincidence mate :good.
not a fan of welliver, calloway is journeyman(pay check fighter) who has fought the best and been flogged by the best, he can take a punch, but we are talking about a bloke who barely beat "big bob mirovic' on points .....when will welliver step up ..no more excuses with a record of 49-5(28yrs old !)...it only pisses me off that some people (prob) kiwis blow there load over this guy he could be the kiwi version of billy dibb
Here Here!!! I had a peek at wellivers record and its saturated with one belt or another, the problem is every fight has been against a ring in,then he comes on here talking about rankings and the rest, like he believes his own bull**** like he's actually a legit contender,His manager said it was hard for them to get fights cos of his credentials,I think its more like he's a joke and no real contender wants a bar of his circus!!
Haha. We have offered many fighter the chance to fight me and been turned down. I try not to bring up ranking unless they are brought up. Calloway is a step up, not a huge one, but a step up. He's undefeated vs. people in the region I represent, which is Australasia. I've heard Rob was in camp with Klitschko for Adamek, but doubt it. Either way, Rob shows up ready for any fight. I will show up ready for whatever he has to bring. No bragging or boosting myself, just stating the facts. Cheers
Thank you bro. I fight at home after this for the first time in nearly 5 years then we're fighting a top fighter. We have confirmation from Oliver McCall that he'll fight. We'll search for a bigger, fresher name in the meantime, but if not we have him as a fallback, and he is still a solid contender. Cheers
The all around best I've sparred, and I've sparred many world champs and olympic gold medalists, would be Juan Carlos Gomez. He could hit ok, but it was his speed, and he threw many punches from all angles. I thought he would beat Vitali but it seemed he didnt train good enough. For hardest hitter I gotta give that to Duncan Dokiwari, '96 olympic bronze medal winner. This guy could punch his way through a brick wall, I'm telling you. It was his speed that was his downfall. :thumbsup
Audley Harrison. I know a lot of people were not fans of his, but he could fight. Big, fast southpaw who could think. I thought he was going places then we all seen what happened. Herbie Hide as well, but only 3 rounds day. He was very fast and snappy, just not to physically strong. Could move great, which I hated. Was a very good fighter though.
Audley lacked one essential ingredient mate ,heart , I respect any man that laces up the leather Pro or Am but what Harrison promised he repeatedly failed to deliver due to a lack of heart when the going got tough . Good luck kid hope to catch up with you in the UK one day . :good
