Last nite in China, it's being reported that Chauncy Welliver dominated Rob Calloway, beating him 11-1 in rounds. Chauncy is ranked in the top 10 in two of the alphabets, #8 in the WBC, and #10 in the WBO. Although Chauncy lacks heavyweight power, is high workrate and combinations saw him winning virtually every round. He now needs to fight a top ten opponent.
Fury would be broken in half. Helenius would be a war. HW FOY Candidate. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H73aSt0lfqc[/ame]
And how did Briggs back down from his Welliver call out.....yeah if Chauncy is there I would love to fight him. As soon as Chauncy calls him out...whole nother story.
I haven't seen the fight yet. But when I do, I expect to see Total Domination, Welliver Style! Another option is rematching that troll Solis. Let's see what he can do when an opponent gets real notice and not this 10 days crap.
Yeah, Chauncey dominated Calloway, out boxing the boxer. But the man is a ****ing punching machine. He throws relentlessly to the body as well and follows up his combos with decent straight Ls. I wouldn't favor him against Robbe Helenius, but he's stop Fury inside 8, and expose him for the fraud he is. Fury or Solis should be next for Chauncey, preferably Fury first, then mandating a WBC eleminator vs Solis. Force that ***** back into the ring with an in shape, properly trained Big Panda.
