    Dude, he's RETIRED.

Retired, overrated and shot. A win over him at this point means ZERO.

There's nothing serious getting in the way of Oliver's MRI clearance. His orbital bone fracture healed long ago; it's just a bone scar - scarey looking -- but harmless now. Everyone associated with him knows this.

I think the only possible insurmountable hurdle to Welliver vs Oliver is Australia. Will they even let Oliver in their country, given their strict prohibitions against criminal records (note: for ESB'rs who don't realize it yet, many years ago Ollie got a disorderly conduct rap for swinging a big christmas tree in a hotel lobby. That could be a big "no no" for Australia)?

But what about Chauncy vs Oliver for the USA, in about two months? If Fisler can get Oliver back into some kind of decent shape (let's say less than 250 lbs), then we might have a serious fight here.

If Welliver beats the same version of McCall that clobbered Bolo Wills, then that's a good "first" win for Chauncy.

I would really like to see this fight. I think it's a natural.

I stand corrected. McCall has been sparring: he helped prepare Molina for Arreola. Now that I think of it, Oliver may have been sparring with another heavyweight after that.

But his weight needs some serious work. Does anyone know the proposed date of McCall-Welliver? Also, have Chauncy's people done serious research about whether they can get Oliver past OZ customs?

I think this fight would look nice in Missouri...wherever Welliver most recently beat Bert Cooper.

Yo Welliver you and Arreola need to stop looking like Earthquake and Tugboat and start buying some Subway.

Welliver looks more and more like a brawler to me, based on clips of his other fights (non-Solis) on youtube. I may have misjudged his style, thinking that he was a tricky boxer type.

I hope the fight goes down. It's a great fight for Chauncy to get a win over a former world champ who is still a top 30 or so HW. And the fan reaction will again be off the hook in complaints. About old men and anything else. But that will sow how hypocritical they are. Oliver is a solid fight for every HW, including the Klitschkos.
