    That is completely untrue.

Heavyweights gain credibility by fighting and beating quality opposition. Either they beat guys in the "A" leagues for legitimate world ratings, or they beat tough "B" level pugs to gain a top-20 rating.

Heavyweights don't gain credibility and respect by fighting "D" and "C" level competition in the distant corners of the globe. This is boxing, not geography.

Chauncy isn't bringing in "more new fans" than any other heavyweight. That bull****. If it were true, then HBO or Showtime would have signed him to an exclusive a long time ago.

By the WBO Kenmore.....current or previously year ranked Top 15....every defense of the WBO International Title will also be the same.

This is a great title for creating contender matches. You all should applaud the WBO. This is no phony title. It is all about eliminators. And Chauncy will show how you capture it against Love, then take it half way around the world and defend it against Mitchell.....thusly stealing the NABO HW Title as well.

Most of you people have no clue about what is really going on. After this fight, Chauncy will hold 4 WBO under titles. APAC, Oriental, China Zone, and International. Mitchell will hold the NABO. That winner is in serious Klitschko position for the end of 2012 or start of 2013.

Your Ibragimov stuff is rubbish. He needs to get off Chauncy's nuts while comiing off a KO loss.

Theres talk of Mitchell facing Grant in Sept now. And Thompson beat 5 guys better than Cooper and Zumbano and was set to fight Chambers for his shot. Mormeck fought 3 top 100 HWs, 2 of which are top 50 before his shot. Chisora likely beat the #3 but lost a hometown decision, but his wins over Sexton and his win over Williams are all top prospect wins.

I like Chauncey as much as anyone, but let's not diss the other contenders, especially the one's making good fights like Potvetkin, and the other named guys when trying to build him up.

Your'e right, he's avoided, but money has a lot to do with that as well. Let's hope he gets that next step up after Zumbano. He's still just 29(yesterday), and time is on his side. The bigger fights and the biggest paydays are coming his way soon enough.:good

I'm talking about Briggs shot, Rahmans shot that is coming, Kevin Johnson's shot, Chisora's shot that fell through, Audley's shot, and a few more of the shots.

When Chauncy gets his shot, he will have had to do more than a big chunk of the recent guys. That is all I am saying there. A Love and then Mitchell or other ranked name win is more than many have done to get inked.

Ibragimov never said any of this stuff. It's coming from agents (and one promoter) who have the ability to set the fight up. Ibragimov himself has expressed strong interest in the fight, but has never disrespected Chauncy. Code of honor thing, there. But he's made it known that if he gets the offer, he'll sign immediately

As for rating rating Chauncy above Ibragimov, that's kind of silly. Ibragimov has beaten better quality opposition, and faced tougher foes. Chauncy is an unproven guy on the far fringes.

Every industry insider who is following Chauncy's story is bewildered that he's rated so high without ever having beaten anyone higher than "C" level.

Also, the proposed Chauncy-Ibragimov fight was for Chauncy's April tune up. If Chauncy's that much better than Ibragimov, why didn't Chauncy accept the fight?

Did Chauncy actually turn down an Ibragimov fight? If so, that's poor form.
Ibragimov has mixed in far better company than Zumbano Love. He has wins over Timo Hoffmann and Oliver McCall, drew with Kevin Johnson, dropped a close SD to Mormeck, went the distance with prime Calvin Brock and Tony Thompson, Zumbano Love has not even fought, let alone beaten, anyone near that caliber.

The agent and Chauncy were negotiating Chauncy vs Oliver McCall, which couldn't be made, because Ollie's not prepared. The agent then offered Ibragimov, who was available and willing. Allegedly Chauncy turned Ibragimov down because Ibragimov is "too tall."

This is all second hand info, but I believe it.

    :rofl:rofl
Ibragimov is only 6′ 3½″!! That's not that tall by today's standards.
Zumbano Love is 6' 5", so we know Chauncy's excuse is bull****. Real reason is that Ibragimov is a solid top 100 heavy while Zumbano Love is not. :deal

Please don't pretend that Love is a higher calibre opponent than Ibragimov.

In 2010-11, Ibragimov was rated between 7th and 14th by the WBA. In 2007-8, he was rated approximately 14th by the WBA. in 2005-06, he was rated somewhere between 11th and 15th by the WBC.

Love, by contrast, was rated briefly by the WBO for unknown reasons last year.

    Stop being so silly.

Love has a padded record and is'nt good at all... 2 fights ago he got beat by Shane Andreesen (11-3) losing every round in the process on the three cards.

For this China fight...with the WBO...for the International Title.....Ibragimov does not qualify and never was put on any list of prospective opponents bro. Not Welliver's lists either....the folks who run the shits lists. Dudes like him and Brisbal got on them for being ranked in the last year with the current crop of ranked fighters.

I know Ibragimov is probably a better fighter. But his stock is low right now man and he is not on the list. That April fight was to try and get a high level tune up for Seth Mitchell. Oliver McCall was the perfect guy for that and it fell through. Cooper was last minute and Iggy was not in the mold at all. Iggy fought like a ****** and tried to be Seth vs Seth but we saw again with Spoon how that goes. But on short notice in April, Iggy was nowhere near what they prepared for or were trying to prepare for.

I give Iggy credit...but in any fight with him, I'd like to see him on some wins and both guys with some time to prepare for eachother. You want a camp geared for him if you re gonna fight him.
