Chauncy outboxed Solis in the first round even at 282 lbs.....imgine what a in shape guy that can move around the ring can do.

Briggs also said "This was by far the hardest puncher I've ever fought" after the Vitali fight. I guess he has changed his mind since. Apparently Lewis hits harder now.

But then again ...Shannon did get interviewed right after having his brains rattled.

when you base what someone woulda coulda shoulda done because they are lazy and dont train and are fat....thats what we realist like to call predictable everything else...exuses..... when people are serious, as a good bit of professional fighters are...just because they dont have a fight lined up, its not a signal to eat buffets every night, quit running and gain 50 pounds...heres why...for the reason he lost.....

He got the round by 1 judge. The other 2 had it a shutout for Solis. Also the fight wasn't scheduled for 1 but for 12 rounds. That doesn't equate to outboxing him :patsch

Excuses and excuses from the Welliver wankers. Guy took the biggest fight of his career, his big chance to show he's serious contender and shows up looking like a whale. Tired of the whining and crying.

no doubt....they dont realize they are fat because they have no work ethic or discipline
remember when holyield and tyson were rising heavyweights how fat they got between fights? remember how fat bowe was before he won his titles? me neither..he got fat afterwards,,,,remember how fat lennox, the klitschkos and larry holmes, were as rising contenders? me either.... tua , always excitement on what he would weigh, arreola, also also talk about what weight would he be...between fights...what a coincidence never won titles...being fat doesnt mean you cant win a title...it means youre not training enough, eating too much....while the other guy aint....

Welliver got the Solis call 10 days before the fight. He wasn't even training. He took it because it was a good payday, his mother needed some financial help, and because it was going to be 1 of the most epic cards of all times. All the right reasons.

Welliver was very competitive early against Solis. Which is amazing considering his size in that fight. He really should not have been fighting such a beast in that condition.

As for China and the purses, etc, there. Do you know how much it costs just to fly in Team Welliver and Team Calloway from the USA? Between fights they flew Team Welliver back in for all kinds of PR work. Rob Calloway does not accept small offers. He was shopping all over the place and nothing at CW or with other HW's beat whatever Welliver is paying him. And, I am sure he is excited to visit China for the 1st time.

You ******s have no clue about China. They are putting the HW's on National TV, they are building a monster am program, they have world class olympic facilities, and they treat the fighters as well as anywhere in the world, or better. Anyone with half a clue can look at Welliver's record and see that the Chinese have delivered 2 damn good opponents for him to start this deal in Tauasa and Calloway. This just the beginning.

I don´t think so, hitting the opponents gloves and shoulders with slapper jabs, isn´t what I call out-boxing.

IMO Solis won that round with cleaner and harder shots

I'd score round 1 for Welliver. But all this is conjecture. This man is 283 pounds in there. He didn't even know he was fighting until 10 days before this. What he did in this fight was very impressive to me. Going into it, I thought Solis would dominate him but Welliver was never out of this fight. Even when the damn thing gets stopped, Welliver is 100% recovered and in the fight. He never went down in his whole career. That ref was the biggest pile of **** of all times to do that to him. The way he protests the stoppage is classic. In your face ref! He was clearly unfazed and ready for more action. The ref was clearly influenced by the open scoring system of the night and yanked Welliver to make Solis appear to be better than he was. He was not going to stop or drop Welliver without help.

This fight is why all these top HW camps will not challenge the kid. He will make a great fighter look average as a fat guy. He will whip many of these great fighters now that he is in shape. There is really no men in the entire world that have any chance at all to dominate Welliver, besides K2. And even with a Klitschko, I am convinced that Welliver would give 1 of the most spirited challenges they have had. As old and rickety as the dudes are, he may even be able to beat 1 of them with a little bit of luck on his side.

Just for the record, as can be seen above in my post being quote without this pic, I did not make this. I put it on FB and then Briggs asked me to take it down and said he felt it was racially charged.

Now, I am a crazy person, but I am not crazy enough to be any part of Briggs thinking I am a racist or him wanting to see me for anything. I think Chauncy could beat him, but I don't want no part of this man. :patsch

theres alot of fighters that train at some capacity to stay in shape should they get a call...why wouldnt they want to be in the best shape and pull off a win? ...rather than the built in excuse of the short notice havent been training boxing talk mumbo
