How do you fight a heavyweight named Chauncy with a straight face let alone a look of determination? Especially given his body type.

Do you realize that he has gone from over 280 lbs to 232 lbs for his last fight?

He has good boxing skills. But I still can't get over the fact that he looked so chubby in the few fights I've seen him.

What is his best win or performance? I'm gonna watch him because i saw him before only once(against Solis) and he was outclassed and stopped.

I thought he won a few rounds in that fight. And that against a former Olympian. Wasn't a schooling by all means.

So Solis fight was his best performance? Which rounds he won? Because judjes scored it 80-72 79-73 80-72 before the stoppage.

Supposedly he's given Chagaev hell in sparring. He's not world class, but he's a good guy who's been working hard, and I'd like to see him back in there with a top 20 heavyweight just to get a gauge of where he is now that he's in decent shape.

a 6'1 boxer should NEVER be that heavy in the first place. Especially one in his 20's still. Going from morbidly obese to still overweight is an achievement on "The Biggest Loser", not in boxing.

Maybe the Z level tomato cans appreciate the effort, as its less embarrassing than to lose to a 280lb fatass.

I can criticize whomever I want, and you would have absolutely no idea what I've done, or who could or could not beat me. So maybe you should just STFU!

He took that fight on short notice and was 286 going into the fight. He has been on a 11 fight win streak since (though two wins could be dismissed because they were definetly a lack of opposition) but he used those fights to help him get in shape. He last fought at 232. The lightest he's been in his career. His last two stoppages were against decent but not great opponents but still rare for him to get stoppages. I think getting stopped by Solis might have been the best thing to happen for Welliver who was 286 and had never been previously stopped before. He is really taking his training seriously now. Whether or not he can beat a contender reamins to be seen but he is moving in the right direction. People like James Toney should find out what he is doing if they are serious about reserrecting his career. Toney is going in the opposite direction as far asd weight goes.
