I'm really freakin' excited for this fight. I don't know how anybody who calls themselves a boxing fan can not be looking forward to it. This fight has every story line a big fight is supposed to have:
1. Styles -- big strong guy against a smaller more skilled guy
2. Prestige -- the true middleweight championship of the world. A long, rich, storied weight class.
3. Changing of the Guard? -- will the younger challenger dethrone the older champion?

This going to be a good one.

Is Chavez Jr starving himself?

 

That was a good combo, and Jr. ate a couple of clean lefts. Overall, he could really use some work on his defense, but he seems to have good sparring for this fight. Vanes is about Sergio's height, uses decent lateral footwork, and is pretty quick.
