http://sports.yahoo.com/news/why-ju...-his-most-important-yet-062718422-boxing.html Iole talks with Arum and now Chavez will have a non-ppv in July with a ppv vs Golovkin, Froch, or Pascal in the fall. Sorry Andre!
I don't now, we'll see how Froch does with Groves. Carl's getting up there, but I have to wonder how Chavez would be able to be effective against an even faded Froch. If Groves continues to dent in Froch's impressive chin, that would help Jr. I can actually see Chavez going with Froch now over GGG. Sergio will wrap up Cotto before July and be available for a November/December fight with GGG. I think Sergio at 160 will take priority over Jr at 168 since Sergio has a rapidly closing window and is essential to Gennady's legacy. Meantime if Jr. picks up a win over a decent SMW like Maxim Vlasov and then a title over Froch, he and GGG become a mega on level with a Floyd ppv. Ward can help call the fight with tears in eyes. At the same time Daniel Geale probably crapped his pants. He wasn't expecting to come up with a new excuse for the rest of the year. I think Pascal only becomes an option for Jr if he's willing to come down to 168.
I feel Froch will prepare more thoroughly for the Groves II fight and stop George... since Carl is a self proclaimed International Superstar, I think a Chavez Jr fight in Vegas -especially since the rumors go back to last year- could easily be made. That indeed goes with what you're saying about Sergio's window and Golovkin having Martinez as his #1 target. Pressure's on Geale to "want" the fight as much as he did after the April date was confirmed. He sure as hell is a better scalp than Lee at this point. We'll see. The Quebec media talked about Pascal looking at a Chavez fight the week after he beat Bute, it's not too far fetched... I just don't think Pascal can boil down to 168 anymore. That would be a Dawson type weight drain effort. Lots of great fights for Andre to call and critique. :yep
