Why wont Oscar fight Margarito? Ofcource he wont win but atleast hes not as faded and doesnt have to move up in weight like Chavez did against him. Even though Chavez was shot, the smaller man, and had to fight at a weight hes never fought before he still fought Oscar because he wanted to prove a point and not go for the easier fight like Oscar will against PAC.

Oscar first fought Chavez at 140lbs and it was only Oscars 2nd fight at that weight. Then after he beat him, they rematched at 147lbs.

Add to that that Chavez had fought many times over the 140lbs limit in non title fights, plus the Whitaker fight.

    1) your making excuses for chavez.
    2) As mentioned by these others your wrong
    3) oscar takes the easier fight? Pernell Whitaker.. Ike Quartey.. Trinidad..Mosley.. Vargas.. Hopkins..

give me a****ing break when Oscar was in his prime he constantly sought out the biggest names and WANTED a challenge. so please stop hating :deal

cmon give him a break hes paid the price time and time again.. IMO deserves to make a lil money for his last fight .. if Tony can impressively beat another fighter maybe even Berto then I'd say a better argument can be made..

DLH had more balls than chavez. DLH went up in weights to fight Bernard Hopkins. Chavez did not go up to 147 pound to fight Terri Norris. DLH does not want to beat another mexican
    fighter.

I wanted him to have one last bout against a good boxer and hopefully for a title but at the rate its going I wish he would just retire now. The difference between himself now and the Chavez he fought is DLH has been stripped of his last belt and is standing on his name alone. He does not need to fight anyone at this point unless he truly wants to retire with a title.

i agree. he's had a long, great career. he doesn't need to fight anymore, but i think he can, and if he is going to fight again it should be for a 147 or 154 belt preferably against margorito. not some bs mismatch vs pac for the money.
