Personally I don't care for testing positive for marijuana.

He should've apologized for using diuretics to mask other performance enhancing drugs and enabling him to make weight quick.

Hopefully the suspension and damage to his face ensures that there wil be no rematch. I'm terribly scared for Sexy Sergio...

Actually I want him to fight Golovkin.

I'm not sure anybody cares that he smokes a little. I know I don't. However if he wants to win fights and not have them overturned, he best be setting aside the bong during training. It would have been a total pisser if he had pulled off the impossible in that 12th round only to have one of the biggest moments in boxing be overturned a few days later. Hopefully someday, weed will not be on the banned substance list at all, until then if he wants to be a prize fighter he has to be smarter than that.
If he has to apologize it shouldn't be for the weed smoking itself, but the timing of the weed smoking.

I know what you mean, cheating to get down to a weight itself is bad, if he doesnt belong at the weight he should leave. Diuretics will **** you up though. I'm impressed he was able to fight after using them. He was at a disadvantage fighting at middle after diuretic use more than an advantage. You can get dehydrated, freeze up stiff an die off diuretics. You get so drained you get sick

when youre getting paid 3 million bucks to fight in one of the bigger fights of the year, it might be a good idea to not smoke weed while training. thats his problem and all is gay ass supporters who give him a pass for everything. never held accountable for his actions. sergio held his laziness accountable by kicking it. its a phony ass apology, wasnt written by him, so whoever made him say it, maybe should make him train like a fighter from now on as long as he is listening it appears

Yes, you can get sick because it can throw your electrolytes off and give you things such as heart palpitations and in worse cases, sudden cardiac arrest.

But many athletes use it to make weight, mask other performance enhancing drugs and such, and I'm sure JCCjr has people who knows how much they can safely put into Jr without him experiencing the bad effects of diuretics. Look at guys like Ali Funeka who miraculously made weight like Cesar Chavez Jr, he was also on diuretics.

It's a masking agent and has fluid driven effects (IE enabling you making a weight you naturally can't make within a certain time).

How the **** can you not give a **** about it?

I don't care that he smokes. It doesn't enhance performance as far as I know but I just can't get over how stupid he is. He must have known he would get caught. I can't imagine anyone stupid enough to think they could get away with it... it blows my mind. He should be fined for stupidity but I don't think he should be suspended.

It was a big masking agent in the 80's an 90's. Not so much anymore.
