A guy that been fighting middle weights and comes in on fight night weighting 180-190lbs finally fights someone a bit closer to his size and gets completely dominated. Shows you what type of fighter he is. Zero dedication
He isn't a bum but he clearly isn't an elite fighter and will forever be in his fathers shadow. I always thought Fonfara was a dangerous fight to take. Fonfara is a tidy boxer and showed against Stevenson that he belongs at world level. Chavez Jr needs to start taking his career seriously if he is to rebuild his career. He can't just keep eating himself out of a division. He was exposed by Vera when he took him too lightly in the first fight and has once again under prepared and had his flaws exposed. He also needs to learn to fight tall, he's 6'1" but fights like he's 5'5".
the only thing he had was showboating. he has been found out to be what every non biased fan thought he was.
Never liked him, hes never seemed to take his own career too seriously, looked in questionable shape in alot of fights and his list of opposition is not quite how it reads on paper. Thrust in as a star thanks to his familys legendary status, i saw early fights where i wasnt even sure he wanted to be there in a ring fighting.
He's not a bum. He chose a wrong opponent and apparently did not prepare for the fight as he should have. I'd not be surprised if he retired after this.
He quit, said that he was winning and that Fonfara was too big, and wants a rematch at a catchweight. Could he possibly be anymore embarrassing? :rofl He's a QUITTER.
