    short summary.

round 1 celaya came out and let his hands go , chavez boxing patient , the bigger man took everything looking to potshot

    round 2
beautifull chavez left hook decks celia hard and wins round 10/8

round 3 /4/5/6/7 ceylia easily outboxes chavez at will , chavez has less head movement as about the same ability as a heavy bag.

he is not world class and i doubt he ever will be
his limitations are clear as day

    he is open to the left hook/jab/right cross/uppercut/straight left/straight right/right hook/bolo/inside/outside/

did i miss any punch out
anyway you get the drift, throw it and it will land.

    better have his dads chin.

    round
long roundhouse right lands and decks ceylia again.

he gets up but has a long cut under the eye which he picked up in the second and walks into a right cross that hits him in the eye, and he quits/turns his back when a long way ahead despitew the knockdowns and ref calls it off.

chavez jnr gets the win rsf 8

sorry chavez jnr needs 20 more fights at least to teach him so much.

decent power is about all he has going for him

IMO chavez management will never go near a southpaw again as long as he boxes.
he simply has absolutley no idea whatsoever what to do.

they will now need to bring out a cuddly toy with goose feather stuffing in his next fight to get his confindence and lethargy out of his system.

there were rumors chavez had been taught how to move his legs in the gym to get outside the southpaw right foot, but they were obvioulsy lies.

more padding than a bed superstore.

i take it you disagree? chavez looked very amateurish, and he was in pretty deep, if celaya had power, it would have been over.:yep

Chavez. Jnr is ready to avenge his dads defeat to DLH. DLH better watch out now that would be the only DLH fight I'd see.

    i agree

    in a bedding superstore .

hard to pick what has more padding though the bedding store or chavez jnr.

in fact its hard to pick what has more head movement the bed or chavez.

Her sure kicked Grover Wiley's tail for daddy's sweet revenge. Of course Oscar is a much bigger and tougher order but who knows how much better he can get by mid year?

    i hope you guys jest.

chavez jnr will never be a world champion.

IMO he is not world class/will never be world class/

chavez jnr does not now how to block punches on his arms/no head movement/feet stuck in cement/stiff/upright/not very fast/

other than that he has a stellar defense.

    Celaya was way ahead Sean?

How did you score the fight?

Had the 8th round been completed.....I had Celaya ahead in rounds 5 rouinds to 3, but the 2 knockdown rounds even the fight at 75-75 after 8.....

No doubt about it, Chavez looked confused and Celaya's peppering jab kept Chavez from letting his hands loose.

In the long run, this struggle by Chavez may turn out for the better, as if this does'nt get him in the Gym motivated to learn the technicalities of the sport, nothing will.

Give Chavez Jr. credit however. He did'nt go into panick mode, and while Celaya for the better part of the fight peppered him with jabs and then got in close and lateraled away from Chavez....
....Chavez in that 8th round where he got Celaya to quit, was using his legs moving away from Celaya and giving himself room to punch, thus scoring with hard shots that led to Celaya's knockdown and demise.

So while yes, critiqueing Chavez performance is certainly merited, lets also give him credit for adapting, changing up a bit by moving away from Celaya and giving himself room to land much better shots.

I agree however, Chavez tonight showed he's a long way from being able to fight with the elites of the sport.
He's got a lot to learn, and tonight was a good lesson for him.
It shows that they're moving him up right. He was up against an opponent that troubled him but not good enough to beat him.

These are the types of matchups that Chavez needs to better himself for the future. Fighters like Celaya that will give him a run for his money!

i had celaya winning the fight
first round was close but i gave it to celaya
    second round to chavez 10/8

then for me celaya won all the rest until the next knockdown with ease.

    he could not miss

    everything he threw landed.

    jab/uppercut/lead left
    lead right/
left hook, you name it when celeya threw he landed.

granted chavez walked threw tham, but he showed me absolutley nothing tonight .

i simply do not no how they are going to eradicate the huge ammo8nt of defencies he has in his make up.

he won because he has power, that i do not argue with and his opponent quit.

imo ceylia styed until the end of the 8th and got back to his boxing in 9 and 10 he won.

there are simply to many well schooled fighters all around the world for chavez jnr team to avoid.

dzindurek/alicine/spinks/ i forget the other one would take him to school/drop him off and themn go and pick up there own kids.

chavez jnr just does not have enough abilty in his locker for his trainers to do much with.

power will only take you so far, and IMO CHAVEZ JNR HAS REACHED HIS LIMIT.

nothing about chavez jnr to hate.
    i do not understand spanish
loved his dad and followed his dads career right ther way through.

pointing out chavez jnr multitude of flaws and that he is not world class and never will be world class.

nothing wrong with that, 99% of fighters are not.
