chavez isnt built to be a fominant champion in my opinion but time will tell for sure. cotto would destroy him if they were to meet up. i still think that gomez fight is going to be a lot tougher for him than roach and im sure even he thinks it will be.

 

Gomez can be a problem, that's for sure. However, if he really has the goods, he must dominate an opponent that Cotto toyed with way back.

I think he will dominate gomez, with his height and reach he could keep short little gomez getting outboxed over 12 rounds, I even see him stopping gomez.
