    Duddy-type or Duddy'd own self ?

He could beat the right Duddy type (maybe) but John Duddy would beat the present version (assuming no improvement of either man) rather handily.

He would walk through young Chavez' s punches and stop him mid rounds.

The kid is doing PPV's because they're making profits....
.....you're hating on the kid because his PPV's are making money!

Are there better fighters out there who are not being marketed for television and PPV?
Of course there is.......but the reason why they're not headlining a PPV card is that they would'nt turn in a profit if they were.

You're hating for the wrong reasons here my friend.

I agree with an earlier post. He can win a title but not be that big. He does not have the same fluid punches of his father and he back up. He is lucky Cuello could not punch or he would have been stopped.

Yes. He is only, and as has been said many times, he has NO amateur experience.

He is going at the same rate his dad was. Will he ever be as good as his father? NO

Can he an elite fighter? I think so. Conceivably in 2 years and 12 dozen more fights or so he could challenge for a title, and he would only be 25 or 26.

Even if he didnt challenge for a title till he was 27 years old, he would be a young champion still, with likely 50+ fights. He has been steadily improving, I expect in 2 years he will be a very good fighter.

As a prospect out of mexico, if he was no his fathers son, he would be considered solid and would just be an example of a fighter being moved along at the right pace.
