Well Canelo WAS going to take on a faded PWilly, same as Lara did, and many had Canelo as the favorite. That fight I think would of been a measuring stick of sorts and in the not so distant future Lara-Alvarez could of been in the works. I'm really starting to believe Arum-GBP fights are close to impossible to get made and inhouse is more likely. I don't see Cotto-Alvarez happening unless Cotto is still not under contract with Arum. Hopefully there's a truce somewhere down the line.

Neither Chavez or Canelo respect the fans imo. You can clearly see how fake both of them are.

Canelo would dismantle Chavez, wouldn't even be competitive. Chavez is trash, and comparing that to a C+ fighter like Canelo? ****, good luck on Sept 15th. You aren't facing a C/D level fighter with no defense anymore.

I might be completely off my rocker but I've been more impressed by Chavez Jr than Canelo so far. That might leave me open for a hammering!

We need to remember that these two turned pro on the back of no more than 30-40 amateur fights between them. Any reasonable boxing fan can appreciate that they've taken their time in response to that and in fairness, have steadily increased their level of opposition as they've gone along. I think they both know it's time to step things up and Chavez Jr has demonstrated that by taking the fight with Martinez. What else can he do? Canelo will have to do the same in the near future.

I dare say that the next 2-3 fights for each of these guys will tell us a lot more about them than their previous 40.

Alvarez tried to get Paul Williams and Kirkland so Chavez's remarks are comical considering the competition he's been fighting. Alvarez vs Cotto is coming up soon (probably December) and it's gonna be crazy. After that I see the Alvarez vs. Chavez fight on Cinco de Mayo. Chavez needs to stfu and focus on beating Martinez or at least not looking like a caveman while losing.

At least Chavez is fighting the true and real Undisputed Middleweight World Champ while the redhead puto Canelo is holding We Be Chicano belt when he fought a bloated Matt Hatton and now he is about to fight a 140 pounder lol what a joke.

Chavez didn't get fed his paper title until last year...Alvarez got fed his at a much younger age.
