This man hasn't had any amateur fights ... he has been gaining experience on the pro level - the hard way ... and he's taking it in stride.

Anyone who says that he needs to fight better opposition is out of their minds.

He's been fighting pro for 5 yrs and is only 22 yrs old ... i'm sure in a couple of years with the gradual steps up in class he should be in title contention.

I think he's being brought along fine and at a steady pace ...

    What do you guys think?

For the first fight i've seen him fight till now - he seems to have gotten alot better technically and physically.

He has trouble with southpaws almost like a deer in headlights also any movement other then forward slows him down some one with good lateral movement can put a hurt on him. Put him against some one that has a earned title and not under the same promoter and see how he does

I think any orthodox fighter would have trouble with southpaw's ... its a matter of getting good quality sparring against lefties and fine tuning that jab.

damn good post Fitzgerald :good A few years ago people were complaining that he wasn't stepping it up and fighting for a belt but people don't seem to realize what having zero amateur experience means.

You have to think of it like this ... he's getting his amateur experience on the pro level and he's only 22 ... he's far off from a world championship bout ... but he's not that far off considering his development, progress, and improvements made over the years.

The average amateur has 4+ years of amateur experience and that doesn't include international experience and tough steps up against tough guys.

This guy has had to learn the basic fundamentals while fighting guys who have fought alot more organized fights than he has.

He might not be world class in your eyes but i'm sure when its all said and done he has over 70 pro fights and a world title under his belt by the time he's in his late 20's

I not sure but i think it was sanchez he fought and was getting tagged all night, if sanchez had any pop or a chin JCCjr would have been TKO/UD

    Amen...

He has looked decent at best vs less than decent at best opposition. First good fighter he faces, he is going to lose.

I am just wondering where he will end up as far as division. He could end up being a MW.
