A guy en route to a world title wouldn't drop any rounds to Matt Vanda.

Chavez clearly dropped at least the 4th and the 9th.

plus amateurs can be harry even worse then the pros. Its not unheard of, for a kid to fight every week just for a chance and pride at the end of a day. the amateurs builds a fighter to want to fight. you can already see JCCjr dosent even want to fight, hes freakin in hes fathers shadow, how that pans out could be a good thing but his first loss will kill him!

That was a pretty god dam entertaining fight. He def doesn't have the snap on his punches that his old man had, he will never be a great fighter but that was pretty entertaining. Kids got balls!

Hes nothing special, like many other people say, hes using his name to get money. I personally dont have a problem with that, I do have a problem with people buying into the hype...

I don't even think it's that. I think it's more likely that he fears the whooping Sr. would put on him if he got KTFO by a bum. He's probably like one of those kids who gets belted if they bring home a B from school. :yep

Thats not true ... everyone on there way up has a difficult fight against an unexpected foe ... you can't put that much weight on a kid who hasn't seen anything before then ... he's getting used to seeing different styles, making adjustments, and learning at the same time.

Its alot to put on the shoulders of anyone ... yeah he's came up around boxing, but discussing and watching is something totally different from actually experiencing it.

I'm sure if he was more schooled coming into the pro ranks and experienced a tough fight before - he wouldve been more prepared but considering that every fight that he fights is something new and a learning experience -- he's due for some slack.

Damn, Chavez, Jr. looked scared as far as hearing the scores. How do you get 100 to 90 after hearing the other two so close is pathetic. Let him fight Camacho, Jr. Now, I think it will be entertaining due to Camacho having some pop in his punches and being a lefty.

But its not just Vanda...he hasnt looked GREAT vs anyone who he has fought...and none of them would even be considered good...let alone great. His point wasnt in the name Matt Vanda, but rather that he wouldnt drop rounds to the "Matt Vanda's of the world".

Fact is, he has gotten the job done up to this point and should be given credit for that. BUT, he has looked halfway decent at best (tho I admit he is kinda exciting to watch) vs halfway decent at best opposition.

It took Morales at the age of 17, 4yrs to gain a world title ...

Barrera at the age of 15, 5 yrs to gain a world title ...

Vasquez at the age of 18, 9 yrs to gain a world title ...

Fernando Montiel at the age of 17, 4 yrs to gain a world title ...

Christian Mijarers at the age of 16, 10yrs to get a legit world title ...

all with limited to none - amateur experience and some had to go throrugh set backs to get where they're at right now.
