I don't like the way Freddie suggests(in a roundabout way) this is an anti-Mexican thing.Most of my all-time faves are Mexican,but I admit I didn't like Chavez Sr purely because of the favours he received from Jose.His talent was never in question,and the irony was that he was good enough to not need Sulaiman's stroke pulling,however Jr's career is built on these same type of favours,and the resentment towards him is completely justified,just as I totally understand why he has many fans.
I suspect if he gave a positive test for Sus,Deca and HGH then came out and said he'd been set up,Freddie would defend him,but on the other hand,if he KO'd Martinez in a round,there will still be doubters.
I am very weary of anything that goes on with Jr,and just because he gives an explanation,it don't make it so.But if he starts fighting better quality opposition,beats them and does the same at SMW,then I'll freely admit I got it wrong.
But I'm afraid he's no great Mexican warrior for me,not by a long shot,and this incident just seems par for the course in The Adventures of Jr and Uncle Jose.
I have Jr down as a B-C list(level) belt holder who gets a bit more publicity than other fighters of his ilk.I'd actually be happy to be proved wrong in a couple of years,I genuinely would.I'd even like to see how he'd do against Margarito if there's no chance of a real dangerous challenge in the near future.
