It will be interesting to see who Sergio fights next. Those surgeries take time to heal before training camp. Sergio needs to come back full strength, I would love to see him in there with Canelo! Tell Chavez Jr to stop smoking this before fights ====> :rasta
He needs to heal 100% before hitting camp. It's that simple. I know he is 38 and wants to make some dough, but if he wants to stretch his time in the sport then he needs to get healthy and hope that he stays healthy once he is ready to go.
This is true, but it was made easy for them, they already had a legendary name to milk, it was like a jackpot for them.
No way! Martinez was in his prime, Chavez Jr. beat the prime out of him with the entire one round that he won in the fight. Chavez Jr. stole his prime, and his soul! Martinez won the fight, but Chavez Jr. forever ruined him!:roll::roll:
Just so everyone knows, besides being a Chavez Jr. *** boy, locard is also a klitschko nut hugger, so if you wanna post a "TKO6" with your post, much appreciated! TKO6!
Whatever the reason, Martinez is currently the weakest PFP entrant in the top five other than Broner(who shouldn't be there).
Just started making money though... He probably wants to make a few more paydays, he did sit in obscurity until he was 34 years old, fighting for as little as $500 a fight at times.... He definitely deserves to make some good paydays before hanging them up. (P.S: TKO6 LOCARD)
Obviously this is his decision to make but he seems to be going downhill fast and he took damage tonight. It is mostly a young mans game. Roach can tell you about taking one fight too many.
I know you folks have heard this a billion times, (Sorry about that). Styles make fights. Martin Murray didn't open up much in this fight in my opinion. He kept the earmuffs on all fight. If you want to win you have to TAKE the title away from the Champion...at least that is how it is where I came from. Like I mentioned before Sergio had knee Surgery, Broke his hand in the Jr fight and got his scalp stapled. That stuff takes a long time to heal for a 37 year old. I believe they rushed him back a little bit too soon. Good thing he didn't get injured too bad in this fight. He can heal up pretty nicely. That is why who he fights next will be key. I want to evaluate his performance during his next fight. It's only been 7 months to come back from knee surgery and a broken hand he probably didn't dedicate himself to training camp as he should've.
