No, I'm in agreement with you, he should retire, it would be in his best interests.

What I was saying is that the fact he just started making money will prevent him from doing so... He will keep fighting no matter what, to make up for all the time he was only making peanuts.

Chavez didn't do ****. It was age and him tearing his knee that did it.

Martinez won that 12th round, even with the KO and everything, watch how Martinez was landing to the last second of the round. Chvez jr need to fight Arreola or something, tired of watching that fool fighting Boxers 2, 3 devisions below him.

I hate to say it, but I think my favorite fighter (Martinez) might be done sooner than expected. :/ It's definitely not because of Chavez though.

Why is Chavez Jr. getting credit for ruining the career of Sergio, when he didn't even beat him or knock him out.

Chavez destroyed Martinez by taking 2 years off his career from the punishment received from Sergio.

I think Martinez needs to stop fighting at 160. And just fight at 154. I don't think his body can handle this division anymore. Looking at his recent injuries and him fighting bigger fighters. A move to 154 would benefit his career. He would be fighting fighters his own size and not blowing up his body to make 160.

And lets give Martin Murray credit. He came into the fight in great shape and with a great game plan.

Unlike some waste of space, out of shape Loser, whose only famous because of his daddy's hall of fame career.

I knew Martinez probably wasn't going to recover from the layoff and the injury at this age

    Chavez took Martinez's soul.

He effectively time stamped his retirement.

It is a shame to give credit to Chavez whose test result
was positive for this fight. Besides it he lost almost all
12 rounds. Whoever wrote this thread must a ******.
