The Wolak fight would of been good. But, at least we still have Cotto vs. junior.

I think it may be rushing it too soon but you gotta love Jr's confidence and willingness to test himself against a great fighter like Cotto. He'll hold a size advantage and that should cause Miguel some problems. But I think the experience of Miguel and the lack of high level experience with Jr will be the factor. UD for Cotto but if Jr keeps improving under Freddie's guide who knows what will happen in that fight.

Imo i think the reason Chavez Jr did that cause he feels he might be like Alexander and not be focused more on Wolak. Instead Chavez Jr i think feels facing Wolak is too risk low reward in which the Cotto fight is in december.

After 43 fights if he isn't ready now he never will be, either you've got it or you don't, **** he may as well get money, why keep fighting no name fighters, he's been doing that too long as it is, and besides Cotto is no beast anymore in my opinion, he's very hittable and if Chavez Jr. is able to take some decent punches he'll have a chance.

His father took the same route of beating unknown bums in mexico and stepped up for the title and won

maybe jr after beating a series of unheralded guys will shine like his father in his first title fight

he has a height advantage and is a natural 154 pounder unlike Cotto he has a good jab and nice left hook to the body

Cotto looked good vs Foreman cause Foreman threw nothing at him I'm not trying to over rate Jr here but Cotto has a hard time dealing with a high volume attack

Can Jr put him on the back pedalling retreat like Margo and Clottey and Manny did if so he can neutralize cottos offense and win

But id bet on Cotto to win but in no way stupid for JCC Jr

I'll admit if there's anybody that bashed Chavez Jr like crazy it's me but finally he wants to fight a real threat and that is against Cotto. I really don't know why people say Chavez Jr is still not ready and blah, blah, blah. He has like over 42 pro fights but still not ready? Why cause of no amateur experience? lol.

Chavez Jr. is not a great fighter. However, his size and the last few Cotto fights tell me I can't write the "junior" off.

    exactly....

the size difference alone is a lot...now, add that with a good chin and a lot of punches, especially jr's body attack and i can see jr winning this...

****, i'm actually gonna drop some dough on jr
