Ya know. It never gets old Watching Pavlik Vs Rubio! Rubio took a beating before quitting. But he earned my respect for lasting as long as he did! No shame in protecting yourself from further damage!

I dont know if Rubio is stilled enough to give Chavez a beating but Chavez's defense is terrible and Rubio can punch. I'm very interested in seeing what happens if Rubio lands a solid right hand to Chavez's chin.

'Rubio can punch' is an understatement.

    46 KOs in 53 wins.

Well if you look at his record its pretty padded. I think his only KO win over a named fighter was against Lemiuex.

Many, many boxers have padded records, especially early in their careers, and still don't have that kind of KO percentage, as they'll still generally meet tough guys with little skill along the way, as I'm sure Rubio has. His power is genuine.

What really impressed me in the Lemieux fight was that when Rubio had his man in trouble he didn't lose his cool and start bombing away, but rather mounted an aggressive yet intelligent attack on his opponent. Which is the mark of a pro and a trait that might serve him well against JCCjr.
