Basically, he admitted to taking it to cut his body weight in time, which obviously means he is struggle to make 154 or didn't train properly. He admits he made a mistake in ignoring that it was a banned substance, and could be fined $100,000 and banned for 9 months, which the article says would be detrimental to his career as he's just been installed the WBC #1 at light-middle.
Wow a diuretic, ban the **** for life. I highly doubt he will be fined 100k and banned for 9 months, Id accept his excuse that he didnt know it was illegal. Hes a bum anyway, who really cares?
is this the awful fighter who was on the pacman-cotto undercard if so i hope he gets banned for life i wake up 3 ****ing am for the pacman and then this fight is on, sends me right back to ****ing sleep after watching 12 rounds of his **** lucky i had my alarm on for 4am so didnt miss the pacman fight...but still too close
He probably didn't train properly, since his fight against Rowland last month was at the 160 limit, not 154.
Really? Yeah I don't imagine he'd be struggling to make 160. Probably under-trained. I don't think he's using it as a masking agent. Apparently - not that I'm informed on this subject - diuretics are in tonnes of things such as tea & coffee.
Didn't Joan Guzman get hospitalized prior to the Nate Campbell fight weight-in for using the same diuretic?
dont know if he was on furosemide, but guzman was hospitalized for dehydration. mayorga was on this too when weighing in for de la hoya.
