I wouldnt say he is a joke or a no talent I just think they realized when Wolak came to LA that they were in over their head either that or didnt want to be the first to find out who this guy was... in other words this is Roach at his best and not chavez Jr

 

Chavez Jr. looked good in his fight with Duddy. I want to see how he fares against better competition.

The fight is still on so I don't understand what the hell you haters are talking about. And Chavez Jr. is definately scared of Wolak and trying to duck him, that is why he was scheduled to fight Cotto a much easier fight than the great Wolak. Cotto was the one who backed out of the fight, and Chavez Jr. in all his interviews said he wants to fight Cotto for the title, so now its up to Cotto to agree. They've asked him about a potential fight with Yuri and he said he wasn't interested, he wants a title fight and Cotto has a title so he is ready to face him.

I don't understand, the haters hate on him because he supposedly doesn't step up and fight high level fighters, and now when he is looking to fight for titles against great opponents, he is criticized for not wanting to fight the lower level guys.lol

He will be World Champ soon, and he will become a Superstar, you will see.

El 'Hijo de la Leyenda' intentó seguir entrenando para la pelea, sin embargo, la fiebre no cedió y tuvo que ser llevado al hospital

La pelea que sostendrían Julio César Chávez Jr. y el polaco Pavel Wolak fue cancelada definitivamente, a pesar de las versiones que surgieron de que el 'Hijo de la Leyenda' estaba dispuesto a combatir tras superar un cuadro gripal.

Previamente el retador inicial del 'Junior', Alfonso Gómez, se retiró del pleito debido a una lesión.

El domingo, el propio Chávez Carrasco había anunciado que la pelea se cancelaba, debido a un severo cuadro de gripa que le impedía entrenar con normalidad, sin embargo, un día después surgieron versiones de que sí podría combatir.

En la página de Azteca Deportes se había anunciado que siempre sí pelearía Chávez Jr, pues "el cuerpo médico y el staff del 'hijo de la leyenda', encabezado por su entrenador, Freddie Roach, confirmaron que el Junior estará en óptimas condiciones para asumir el compromiso; el combate se llevará a cabo con toda normalidad, así como en la fecha y el horario previamente establecidos".

 

Damn thanks for the correction, i had seen the reports earlier today saying he was gonna through with the fight, but i guess now they went back on it a 2nd time. That sucks but my other statements about him and his haters still stand.

On the bright side i can now Focus on just watching Canelo fight, instead of trying to watch both of them.

 

Kirk I think you mis understood the entire point here, Chavez was set to fight Gomez who would have been easy work a show case fight if you would, suddenly Wolak is the last min replacement and Chavez all the sudden comes down with the flu.. I am not buying it, I do not beleive Chavez got sick especially when just a day or two ago he was talking about how great he felt after spending a day in the gym at Wildcard.

I honestly think Roach got some tape on this kid and thought that taking this fight on such short notice might end up doing more harm than good...

 

No matter what the poster says, at the end of the day, Chavez has accomplished more than the poster has, its easy to point fingers when your sitting on your sofa drinking beer and eating potato chips....

 

That's all talk and bull****; Roach, his father, TVAzteca and Jr. all know that Cotto or Martínez would obliterate Jr.

 

All I know is that he went life and death a while back with some redneck on the Cotto Pac card. I was embarrassed for him and his father.
