I get the feeling he is going to go in there... and actually throw some punches this time.. absolutely breaking the smaller fighter. Had he only thrown a few more last time.. he may have actually "won" the fight.

    He'll win convincingly this time.

I too don't get all the hate.

Chavez Jr is about to destroy... ...his career?

Seriously, I was amazed he actually made weight this time, but Vera beat the crap outta him last time out. He should do better now, but still...

Do you SERIOUSLY think Chavez jr REALLY!! beat Bryan Vera?????????
No way in hell did Chavez come anywhere near winning, He got his ass kicked ROYALLY!!!! He picked on a much smaller guy then came in WAYYY over the limit. He thought he'd got an easy night in Vera. The lazy fat slob got exactly what he deserved in that fight only corrupt officials & his Daddies name got him the dec. He learned the hard way

Calm the fawk down, I had Vera winning but it wasn't a beating. Chavez rocked Vera a few times but couldn't finish the job due to the sh1t shape he was in. I'm not saying Chavez is top 10 P4P but he should be able to put Vera away if his shape is right.

Well he better pick up his workrate in this fight. Even though he was landing the harder shots in their first match, Vera was clearly outpointing him solely from the fact that he was throwing, and landing, a lot more shots than junior.

Obviously Junior has had issues with weight, training and his overall dedication to this sport. He looked like he was in shape at the weigh in, so lets just wait and see. I'm favoring Junior in this rematch but to me there's no clear cut favorite, especially if Vera fights in a similar manner to how he fought in their first go around.

He SHOULD have beaten him first time around but didn't
I suppose Sergio Martinez didn't give Chavez a boxing clinic for 11 I/2 rounds till that lucky shot landed. Chavez STILL couldnt put away Martinez even though Sergio was completely gassed & trying to fight on one good leg.
Chavez is what he is a fat idle lazy slob living off his Daddies famous name. Unless he wises up & either puts the work in or retires, someone is going to beat him BAD!!! Could quite well be Vera tonight:bbb:bbb

Vera ****ed up Chavez's face last fight.

With two extra rounds, and Vera potentially laying hands on him more because of a refined Ronnie Shields strategy... we may see him get a Sergio Martinez pizza facing from Vera's newly developed, basic but functional jab.

Also have to see how the extra 5 pound weight cut effects Chavez.

Just because a fighter looks good physically doesn't mean much.

Of course he should of beat him the first time, it was a comeback fight. You're going to compare Vera with Martinez, really?

I agree he is lazy and he gets good fights and money due to his name, I see some potential though, strong chin, good power. A %100 focused Chavez Jr with a good trainer would be a force to be reckoned with in my opinion. If he keeps on with his half azzed training camps he is going to get beat down bad, but Vera won't be the one to do it.
