People think Chavez is some kid, but he's not David Lemieux. He's a grown man now, and he is faster and fresher than the older Mexican. Look for Son of the Legend to win by knockout around round 9

Chavez jr wont fall for the same tricks as Lemiux and holds size advantages over Rubio

I expect it to be like the Pavlik fight

the young fighter usually wins these fights . but rubio is the kinda guy that can pull this off but still an underdog.

    jr wins UD

    JCC Jr by decision.

Can't see him knocking Rubio out but he's faster, arguably stronger and I see him keeping Rubio on the end of his jab all night toward a UD.

Can he maintain the composure to do that? Can he avoid getting drawn into a trade? We'll see soon enough. Good fight, looking forward to it. :good

Rubio is going to stop him, too bad, because I wanted to see a Chavez jr, vs Canelo fight, while both were undefeated, Rubio by brutal stoppage or knock out, on the 8th or 9th.

With Coach Roach in his corner, Jr. can't be beat

I like this fight a lot, it almost gauranteed fireworks. Its an even fight but I'd pick Chavez to win this one. He's the younger and bigger guy and I think he ends up stopping Rubio late.

I hope GBP and Top Rank really try to make Chavez-Alvarez after their next fights. Both are fighting better competition and they run the risk of upsets not too mention Chavez might have to move up in weight sooner than later. Thats a pretty big fight that would also deliver on action.
