Rubio is a veteran fighter who's been around the block. Hes got above avg boxing and brawling skills he's all business like Glen Johnson. It took powerful punchers like a prime Pavlik and Jantuah to stop Rubio you know either Lemieux didnt come.close to their power or Rubio has improved. He sees a mistake Rubio makes you pay for it like a pro would make an amatuer in sparring. Jr doesnt have the experience Veneno does, but I do think he'll use his youth and size and win early rounds, but once it becomes a toe to toe battle one of 2 things are going to happen: Veneno exposes this kid once and for all ir he brings out the best in Jr. When Jr fights behind a jab he looks superb just like Andy Lee. Once they stop using it they go back to journeyman quality fighters. Jr jabs he might win. He goes toe to toe edge goes to Rubio.

What is it with Chavez and Canelo? Canelo is at 154 and and just got there. Chavez is not going to come down to 154 and why would Canelo move up to 160 when there is so many fights to be made at 154. The best should fight the best. Whatever happened to that? Now it is who rakes in more PPV money. Arum just insulted Martinez saying who is he and what does he rake in on PPV. Pathetic! Hopefully for Chavez if he beats Rubio there is no help from the ref or judges. Rubio must make sure it does not go to the cards or he is screwed for sure. Oh, Martinez stood up to TR, but he is no PBF with PBF money. He should be concerned that Arum does not blacklist him somehow. Martinez is not a young pup to wait for a major fight.

Chavez showed up in awesome shape against Manfredo, I expect the same when he faces Rubio. Unless Rubio is able to cutt off the ring, I expect Chavez to keep him on the outside and pick him off most of the night. Could get another gift stoppage like he did with Manfredo. Watch out if Lawrence Cole is the ref again.

I haven't seen either for a while. Has Rubio slipped to where Jr. looks like a prime Pavlik against him? I watched Rubio/Onelas? and Pavlik/Taylor 2 back to back several times. The speed difference was painfully obvious. Pavlik PLAYED with Rubio and carried him a bit for the home town crowd.

Not sure if Chavez will stop him, Rubio does seem to be on form. Don't see an upset here either though, Chavez UD or late stoppage

JCC is going to get pummeled, beaten and bloodied, possibly dropped, while doing minimal amount of damage to Rubio and clearly loosing the fight. At the end of 12th round the scores will be 120-108, 119-109 and 116-112, all to the winner by unanimous decision and STILL the We Be Crooks champion of the world, Chavez Jr!
